Open to Fendol Farms Residents and Guests--ONLY. You’re invited to take a break from the frenzied activities of daily life through a free relaxing yoga and meditation practice. This 90-minute practice will provide an opportunity to reflect on alignment in harmony with the natural rhythms of the season signifying endings and new beginnings. All levels of beginner to intermediate yoga experience are welcome—both chair and mat.

This monthly class offers a relaxing combined slow flow yoga practice, beginning with a few slow-paced poses that are held for several breaths, followed by a 30 minute yoga nidra practice. Yoga nidra can be called the “yoga of sleep,” or conscious sleep. Ultimately, it is a practice of non-doing, leading to a state of deep rest while remaining conscious. The practice will focus on stretching the body and using the breath to engage the body’s natural relaxation response. Research studies have reported the benefits of yoga nidra to include enhanced nervous system functioning, reduced stress, and improved sleep.
